This policy applies to personal information we handle about our customers, and visitors to, and users of, our website www.propertyreviewed.com.au (our website, thewebsite), users of services we may from time to time provide, and members of the public. It provides information about the personal information we collect and the ways in which we use that personal information. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by the terms of this privacy policy.

The kinds of information we collect

The kinds of personal information we collect may include your name, telephone number, e-mail address, employment related information including job title and work contact details, and your payment details (e.g. your bank details and/or credit card details). Ultimately, the kinds of personal information we collect will depend on the dealings you have with us. When, and with whom, do we share your information?

We outsource certain functions of our business, such as our payment functions to Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd and its related entities. We may also outsource the development and maintenance of this website to contractors, who due to their ability to access all areas of the website, may be able to access personal information submitted to the website. These contractors have contractual agreements with us which prohibit them from accessing or using any personal information submitted to our website, except to the extent necessary to fulfil the services they provide to us. Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd, under its own privacy policy, commits to only using personal information it receives from us to fulfil its obligations to provide payment and associated functions, although their policy may change from time to time. You acknowledge that the nature of the services on our website – that being to provide content about properties, property managers and other property related matters – means that reviews, responses to reviews and questions to other users of our website (Communications) submitted to our website will, subject to our terms and conditions, be disclosed and made public, as will the submitter’s first name. Whilst we may remove certain personal information you include within a Communication we will not do this in all cases – this is at our discretion. As such you should treat any Communication that you submit as if it might be published and made public in full. We may release your information to a third party to the extent that we believe that it is appropriate to comply with the law; to enforce our website policies or terms and conditions; protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety; or to enable us to perform our business activities and functions. For example, to verify the contents of a Communication that you have submitted to our website in relation to a particular property management company, we may need to disclose your identity to that property management company to verify your relationship with that entity and the circumstances of your review. Your personal information might also be used and disclosed to a third party to mediate any issues that arise in relation to a Communication, or in relation to a Communication in relation to which you are directly or indirectly referred. Because of the nature of the vetting and mediating that we may undertake, once that information is delivered to a third party we have no control over how your information is used by that third party. We might share non-identifiable information about you visiting certain pages on our website to subscribers who have subscribed for our service of providing certain data to them. Do we transfer or disclose any personal information overseas?

Unless we have your consent, or an exception under the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) applies, we will only disclose your personal information to overseas recipients where we have taken reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients do not breach the Privacy Act1988(Cth) or the APPs. Personal information that we collect may be transferred and stored outside of Australia, to fulfil the purpose for which that personal information was disclosed to us. To facilitate payment of subscription fees, banking or credit card information that you provide to us may be transferred and stored by Stripe Australia Pty Ltd in countries other than Australia. Our website developers who are contracted to develop and maintain our website might be located overseas and they may have the ability to access such information by virtue of their access rights to our website. How to access or seek correction of your personal information

You will not be charged for making a request to access your personal information but you may be charged for the reasonable time and expense incurred in compiling information in response to your request.
